1952 – VW Beetle Export – Type 11G

An absolute unique specimen represents this early Volkswagen by its combination of a split window beetle export with factory folding sunroof, with the ventilation flaps in the front end, produced only one year, a supercharged engine and the lush equipment with rare accessories. This is a vehicle that was delivered to its first owner in September 1952 via the VW dealer Olle Olsson in Borås/Sweden. In impeccable, preserved condition, the car was discovered in a barn in Sweden in 1991 and could be carefully revised further years later on a fantastically preserved, original and unwelded basis. The paint on the exterior of the body has been renewed with low layer thicknesses between about 90 and 250 μm in the original shade of azure blue. The body with all attachment and trim parts, rims, seat covers, parts of the interior headliner, the paintwork of the interior and the trunk as well as the entire underbody, have been kept original. The car is equipped with unusual and contemporary accessories (factory or NOS). Exclusive and extremely rare parts like the Becker Radio Monza with integrated clock, the Dehne fuel gauge, the Petri Banjo steering wheel as well as the VW ash tray, refine the Brezel in a unique way. The MAG low-pressure compressor gives the engine about 40% more power and also turns the engine compartment into a piece of art. The car is extensively documented. The history of this 70 year old Beetle comes from numerous original documents, records, maintenance invoices as well as publications from various VW magazines.
